HRH The Duchess of Rothesay visits Maggie's Glasgow

We are delighted that our President, The Duchess of Rothesay, visited Maggie's Glasgow on Friday 7 September 2018.

Her Royal Highness, who has supported Maggie鈥檚 for 10 years, arrived at the centre with Laura Lee, our Chief Executive, in the Maggie鈥檚 Glasgow car before being welcomed at the centre by Patron and broadcaster Kirsty Wark.
On a tour of the centre she met staff, centre visitors who shared a little of their own cancer experiences with The Duchess and key supporters including Nina Barough, founder of , the principal funder of Maggie鈥檚 Glasgow allowing Maggie鈥檚 to build and open the centre in 2011 thanks to funds from walkers of .
Maggie鈥檚 daughter Lily Jencks, who designed the gardens of Maggie鈥檚 Glasgow, was also at the centre to meet Her Royal Highness before The Duchess enjoyed a juicing demonstration (part of Maggie鈥檚 Nutrition programme) in the kitchen area.

Her visits make a huge impact and her warmth and generosity of spirit is greatly appreciated by all who meet her. We鈥檙e incredibly grateful to Her Royal Highness for her passion and continued unswerving commitment to Maggie鈥檚.鈥
During the 10 years of her support Her Royal Highness has often visited centres including Manchester, Dundee and Swansea, opened Maggie鈥檚 Aberdeen with Her Royal Highness The Queen of Norway and hosted many events in support of Maggie鈥檚.
