We're proud to be supporting Walk the Walk's campaign to spread awareness that听Men Get Breast Cancer Too.

Breast cancer charity has brought together a global group of charities听to reach millions of people across the world with the aim of saving lives.

In 2017, Walk the Walk recognised that there was very little awareness of male breast cancer and with the support of six men diagnosed with the disease, launched the .

The charities supporting the campaign are Maggie鈥檚, Tenovus Cancer Care, FACT (Fighting All Cancers Together), CoppaFeel, Penny Brohn UK, Action Cancer, Breast Cancer Now, Breast Cancer Haven and The Male Breast Cancer Coalition.听

Over the last three years the campaign has gone from strength to strength, with the six men becoming 19. As the charities come together, the men鈥檚 voices will be heard even louder, in the build up to October鈥檚 Male Breast Cancer Awareness Week.听听

With the help of the men, Walk the Walk have created a听special 鈥渂lue bra鈥 t-shirt, showing the message 鈥淢en Get Breast Cancer Too鈥, as well as a downloadable .听

It is an absolute privilege to work with these incredibly brave men, who have found the courage to speak out, with the hope that it will save lives. Their voice can be so much stronger if charities come together on this, and to see such a collaboration between charities is such a positive message in these challenging times.

We are delighted to be working with Walk and Walk and all other partner charities to raise awareness of breast cancer in men.听Our centres are for anyone living with cancer and see the fullest possible range of cancer types, ages and situations, but sadly not a lot of men with breast cancer.听I would love to see many more come through the doors of our centres and benefit from our professional practical, emotional and psychological support.
Laura Lee, Chief Executive of Maggie鈥檚

I knew men could get breast cancer, but I never thought it would be me. We can all be dismissive and think that these things happen to other people. When I felt a lump in my chest, I thought it鈥檚 just a wee lump, there wasn鈥檛 much swelling and I thought that it would go away. But after about two weeks of checking that it was still there, I decided to go to my doctor to get it checked out. I was glad that I did.
